I-… I simply couldn’t resist.
My sincere apologies. -
Crookfish’s adventure outside of the Comfort Zone™.
Just a quick study of one of the hyena characters I roleplay over Skype and FH— Veran (though now renamed to Skreel). Will try to add in his scarring later! -
Apologies for posting Mr. Bearded Vulture once again (it wouldn’t let me reblog the previous image) but this plushie design’s up for voting at https://www.squishable.com/p/opensquish_vulture_13462/ ! The ones with the most positive votes are made into plushies.
I was told to let folk know when it was up. You can also see the other entries here; there’s no need to vote for mine— but you can vote for multiple designs! I’m dearly hoping one of the birds or lizards win. (The pigeon’s adorable!)

A few redesign concept-sketches of one of my ancient characters and misunderstood antagonist, Taratanatus/Dirgeface (image from 2006). I’ve always drawn him as lacking eyes entirely, but-… Wanted to experiment a little with multiple heads— and eyes! I’m not entirely sold on either of these; I’ll need to experiment a little more.

A small, cheer-up painting (done entirely in watercolours) for a friend after her woma python passed away due to unforeseen circumstances. Was originally going to draw a cheesy lil’ angelic snake before it inadvertently turned into a quetzalcoatlish woma-beastie. An accident, I swear!

Bearded vulture gryphon, reporting for duty! Accidentally went a lil’ overboard with the clouds, oops. And the orange. And the sparkles. Even so, it’s been sat on my hard drive for too long! TOO LONG.
(Also EEEEEEE-! Thanks an oodle for all the feedback on the previous post. ;_; <3) -
Just some quick critter-sketches! Trying to design more bipedal races. The feather-y ones are the upper-class variant, whilst the balded ones are the slaves/servants etc. Their neck and arms are bound to prevent the growth of feathers.
Not too sure about the overall design! There’s some things I want to change.
Edit: Sorry about the pixelation! I’ve no idea how to fix it!

Trying to return to my passion-… Bizarre beasties! It’s a struggle to pluck up the confidence to post inane critter designs. Tried to bring a stark contrast between the poofy front-end and the thin rear-end in this’un.
Sorry for the slap-dash colouring— was just trying out ideas! -
Slowly, slowly puttering through the images in my art folder! Grabbed ahold of a scanner (FINALLY) and just tidying up the pieces.
POKEMANS. The lower image is Sigvard, my nidorino character, and the upper image is Haru (my arcanine) and Marr (Jerrani’s one-tailed ninetales character). Both are part of a post-apocalyptic roleplay on FH and drawn with coloured pencils.

My very first plushie! (Of my character, Segven.)
It’s an absolute mess.
This little bugger is tiny (small plushies are absolutely infuriating) and made from the most fraying material in existence (as you can likely see from the pictures!). The markings are painted on with anything-I-could-grab (goache?) and the scales, similarly, are made up of frustratingly fray-ey cloth.
Credits to the fantastic Allan (from http://reachoutwithartsinmind.org.uk/) and my Mom for helping me learn the art of the dastardly sewing machine.
Took about 20 hours of tears, profuse swearing and flailing. 10 of those hours were likely me trying in vain to thread the needle.
(Sorry for the camera-phone photos! I’ve also pinpointed the scanner at university- prizes incoming very, very soon!)
